Building the Madison 37 with Clarendon in NSW

We are so excited to have found a place to call our "forever home". This is our third property purchase and we are certainly glad that we will be raising our family  near Camden, NSW, Australia.

For many years we have wondered whether we needed to leave Sydney to find a great place to raise our family. Then we happened upon an estate with semi-rural charm, a great neighbourly feel and yet so close to all the modern conveniences of Sydney. So off we went house shopping while we considered which precinct of the estate would be perfect for us!

In mid-2014 we found the Madison 35 plan by Clarendon. To us, having WIRs in 4 out of 5 bedrooms plus a leisure room upstairs was unbeatable. However, we really wanted to build something we could walk through first and the Madison was not on display. We spent a sickening amount of weekends house shopping for over 8 months. So. Many. Displays.

By November 2014 we decided to talk to real estate agents and seriously consider selling our home and buying our land. Around this time, the precinct we fell in love with came on sale and we were eager to purchase a block.

By February 2015, the house was on the market and sold in days. Before we knew it we secured our block and were desperately trying to decide on a house plan!

We loved the Clarendon Sheridan 34, Clarendon Madison 35, Metricon Glendale 38 and the Provincial Lindfield.

We went to tender in March 2015 on the Sheridan but tried to make upstairs work better with our desires, ie more like the Madison...However, after walking through the Madison 37, which was now built on display at Parklea, we re-tendered and went with the Madison 37!

And so our journey to build our forever home began!

This is the blog of our journey.
